THE MICHELIN GUIDE’S COMMITMENTS
Whether they are in Japan, the USA, China or Europe, our inspectors apply the same criteria to judge the quality of each and every restaurants and hotel visit. The MICHELIN Guide commands a worldwide reputation thanks to the commitments we make to our readers – and we reiterate these below:
Our inspectors make regular and anonymous visits to restaurants and hotels to gauge the quality of products and services offered to an ordinary customer. They settle their own bill and may then introduce themselves and ask for more information about the establishment.
The remain totally objective for our readers, the selection is made with complete independence. Entry into the guide is free. All decisions are discussed with the Editor and our highest awards are considered at an international level.
The guide offers a selection of the best restaurants and hotels in every category of comfort and price. This is only possible because all the inspectors rigorously apply the same methods.
